Noreena Jasper Pendant | Handcrafted by Ben Davis in Sterling Silver | Australian Pilbara Jasper

$138.00

I adore the colors on Noreena Jasper. It just looks like Australia, and the idea that I am wearing something that existed before plants, animals, or complex life. When ancient sediments were quietly making geometric patterns....plus, it matches everything, and because the patterns vary so much, they are super easy to find in the Jasper tray. But here is the "official description"

This handcrafted pendant features genuine Noreena Jasper from the Pilbara region of Western Australia, carefully cut and polished by lapidary artist Ben Davis, then set in solid .925 sterling silver.

Noreena Jasper is prized for its striking geometric patterns of deep red, burnt orange, mustard, cream, and charcoal. These natural designs formed approximately 2.7 billion years ago within the ancient sedimentary rocks of the Jeerinah Formation in the Hamersley Basin near Newman, Western Australia. The stone is a silicified mudstone, meaning silica-rich fluids gradually replaced and strengthened the original sediments while filling ancient fractures, creating the distinctive angular patterns that make Noreena Jasper instantly recognizable.

Every piece is unique. No two stones display the same combination of colors or natural patterning, making each pendant a one-of-a-kind expression of Earth's early history.

At Ben Davis Designs, every cabochon is individually selected, shaped, and polished by Ben before being handcrafted into finished jewelry. We are a family-owned business, and we believe the story of the stone deserves just as much attention as the craftsmanship that brings it to life.
