Morrisonite Jasper Pendant – “King of the Jaspers” Sterling Silver Ben & Bryant Collection
Ben's FAVORITE stone! Morrisonite, the absolute king!
Morrisonite is called the “King of the Jaspers” because of its incredibly complex color patterns and limited supply. This rare jasper is found in the Owyhee Mountains of southeastern Oregon, a remote volcanic region known for producing some of the world's most visually striking jaspers. Over millions of years, silica-rich fluids moved through volcanic rock, depositing minerals that slowly crystallized into the intricate layers and painterly patterns seen in Morrisonite today.
Each Morrisonite stone is completely unique, often displaying natural scenes that resemble landscapes, cliffs, or shifting desert skies, and shines up like the finest porcelain.
The stone is set in solid .925 sterling silver, hand-crafted in Texas by geologist and lapidary artist Ben Davis with master silversmith Randy Bryant. Randy designed the custom silverwork to echo the natural lines and movement within the cabochon, creating a setting that feels like a natural extension of the stone itself.
Each piece in the Ben & Bryant Collection celebrates geology, craftsmanship, and the beauty of natural stone.
