Fordite features layered bands of cured automotive paint built up over time in industrial spray booths. Often referred to as “Detroit agate,” Fordite is not a mineral but a man-made material formed when repeated layers of paint hardened and were later cut and polished.

We don't exactly where this particular slag piece came from, but each Fordite pendant is one of a kind, with patterns that can never be replicated once the source material is gone.
