Old Stock Nevada Turquoise Pendant – Sterling Silver | Ben Davis Cabochon
Own history! This turquoise came from the collection of a retired Nevada miner, making it genuine old-stock material that is becoming increasingly difficult to find today.
Old-stock Nevada turquoise forms when copper-rich groundwater moves through porous rock, slowly depositing the mineral in fractures and pockets. The result is the soft blue tones and natural blue-gray matrix seen in this stone, patterns that reflect the classic look of historic Southwest turquoise.
The cabochon was carefully cut and polished by lapidary artist Ben Davis, who shaped the stone to highlight the natural landscape hidden within the matrix. The stone is set in solid .925 sterling silver, creating a timeless pendant that lets the turquoise take center stage.
