Old Stock Nevada Turquoise Triangle Pendant – Sterling Silver | Ben Davis
Pendant is 1 1/2” x 1/2” or 3 1/2 x 1 cm
Own history! This turquoise came from the collection of a retired Nevada miner, making it genuine old-stock material that is becoming increasingly difficult to find today.
Old-stock Nevada turquoise forms when copper-rich groundwater moves through porous rock, slowly depositing the mineral in fractures and pockets. Over millions of years this process produces the vivid sky-blue color and natural golden matrix seen in this stone. The web-like pattern creates a striking contrast against the bright turquoise, giving the pendant the classic character associated with historic Southwest turquoise.
The cabochon was carefully cut and polished by lapidary artist Ben Davis, who shaped the stone into a bold triangular form that highlights the natural matrix pattern. The stone is set in solid .925 sterling silver, creating a clean, modern setting that allows the turquoise to stand out.
This material comes from old stock Nevada turquoise, sourced from a retired miner’s collection — a supply that is becoming increasingly rare today.
