Milford Utah Picasso Marble Pendant in Sterling Silver

$125.00

Picasso Marble is a metamorphic limestone valued for its dramatic, naturally occurring linear patterns created during heat, pressure, and mineral alteration over time. The stone is named for its abstract, brushstroke-like veining, typically in shades of black, gray, cream, and brown, often resembling painted landscapes or charcoal sketches.

Curious about both the geology and workability of the material, Ben sourced this Picasso Marble rough during a family trip to Milford, Utah. Because the stone is softer than many lapidary materials, he wanted to experiment with how it would cut and polish. For this pendant, he intentionally selected a section with minimal brown coloration, allowing the charcoal and slate-gray veining to create a cleaner, more classical monochromatic look.

Hand cut and polished by Ben, then set in sterling silver.
