Petrified Wood

Petrified wood is a fossil in which minerals have replaced the organic remains in the slow process of being turned to stone. Special rare conditions must be met for the fallen wood to transform. Honestly, this stuff is just so cool! Wearing petrified wood means you have on something that once was a living organism that existed thousands of years ago. This piece is thought to be from the Triassic period. Ben found this piece while rock-hounding in Colorado. It is set in 925 sterling silver and has a free 24" chain.
