Ammolite Doublet Pendant
This Ammolite doublet captures one of the rarest natural color displays on Earth, created from the fossilized shell of an ancient ammonite that lived in the seas over 70 million years ago. Ammolite forms when the original aragonite shell preserves and mineralizes, creating its signature iridescent flash. Because natural Ammolite is extremely thin, this piece has been crafted as a doublet,a protective layer over the Ammolite and a stabilizing backing, allowing the fossil material to be worn safely while preserving its vibrant color.
This stone shows rich flashes of red, orange, and gold, with natural plate structure visible beneath the surface.
Each Ammolite piece is unique, and no two patterns or color structures are ever the same.
